Very small place sadly I wish it was bigger. Had trouble ordering as clearly the person serving at the counter couldn't hear us and missed items off my order and we didn't realise until 30 minutes later when food arrived. They did offer to make the missing item but we didn't have time for that as we had parked in an hour spot. Did get a voucher though which was nice. Highly recommend you ask for order to be repeated back. Also the fries had a weird seasoning on them and the kids (and adults) in our group didn't like them so a lot of waste. A warning about the seasoning would be nice especially in case of allergies. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Came in with my sister and the 2 kids for breakfast while I was visiting town. Delicious food!! I had the salmon Benedict and pancakes. Demolished my plates. Service was super friendly. The kids play room was cool too! My nephew enjoyed it! Still has that rustic homely feeling as before when I used to work here back in 2018 but now with a touch of modern upgrades. Will be back again when I next visit. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Amazing little rustic vibe cafe. Family friendly. Even when really busy, staff super helpful and so friendly! Highly recommend the porridge my daughter had the chocolate pancakes (normal size) & they were HUGE and delicious. I had an oat flat white, and am very fussy with my coffee - I literally searched 'best coffee Dunedin', & Governor's Cafe was closest to us at the time. Google didn't let me down. Warm and cosy with ample rustic seating. Great menu options and cabinet food. The wall art is incredible! So fun! Thanks team.
