Grace from Akaiwa City is a fairly well-established restaurant in this area.I visited there for a holiday lunch that I had booked the day before. Please note that we are currently a reservation-only restaurant! It has a large exterior, and since it is a store that also serves as a residence, you have to take off your shoes at the entrance before entering, and it has a nice interior that uses a lot of wood. The tables and chairs are all made of wood, and the solid wood feels great to the touch. I ordered Grace Lunch, first I ordered a salad hors d'oeuvre, the vegetables and ham were all homemade, and I finished it with cherry chips, so the flavor was great. It was a simple salad, but I was happy to get a good portion of it. The soup contains pumpkin potage and various vegetables, so the sweetness is kept to a moderate level. For fish dishes, kinmedai is a wonderfully sweet fish that can be caught all year round, but its best season is winter, when it starts to get fat. The white sauce is richer than it looks and goes well with the light-tasting Kinmedai, so be sure to eat it without leaving any leftovers. The meat dishes are Kuroge Wagyu beef from a local farm, cut into easy-to-eat sizes. Red wine-based sauce is the standard, but it goes well with beef. All the various steamed vegetables are cooked separately, and I especially like the rich eggplant and sweet onions. The rice is Hinohikari, which is also grown by the owner himself! After the meal, we relaxed for a while while having dessert and coffee. .. .. The owner-chef started the first organic restaurant in Japan in Osaka, and it has been 18 years since he moved here. .. .. I hope it will continue to be in business for a long time!
