I’ve never walked out of a restaurant thinking “why did I bother?” Unfortunately, we were not really feeling welcome from the start. The portion size was small to average, the staff were not really friendly and I honestly wish we hadn’t gone there. When ordering, we were asked to pay before we received our dine in meal.. that’s never happened before. We ordered an 2 appetisers, 2 egg fried rice, a chicken curry and a chicken with cashew nuts both without vegetables. We received the rice first which was dry, unappealing and smelt burnt. Then my curry and a serving of sweet and sour chicken with vegetables (which we did not order). 5 minutes later, the appetisers arrived followed closely by the chicken with cashew nuts(which was clearly an afterthought as the cashews were dry on top of the dish). About 10 minutes later, after hearing an argument coming from the kitchen, the waiter came to the table and informed us that the chef had sent out the sweet and sour chicken in error. I said it most definitely was he looked as though he was expecting a payment from us but that wasn’t happening. He then said we could have it on the house. My appetiser was honey bbq ribs which were very oily and mostly tasteless and the other half had chicken satay sticks. The satay sauce was not appealing and the chicken was very dry. All in all, I will not be going back as we mostly finished our food got up and left and no one even bothered to acknowledge our departure. I think i now understand why I had to pay before hand, I hate the notion, but I would quite happily have refused to pay based on the service and quality. I hope this was an off night but I will not be trying it again as £32 is an expensive way to try a place out. Parking: There are bays close by but there is no guarantee.
