Pretty good first experience here. The food from the short menu was tasty. The service staff were super friendly if a little absent at times. First impression is that the menu is good value , especially entrees priced $20-25, but the portions are small so you are going to go for that starter and dessert so then you are back up at $40-45. They charged us 20% automatic gratuity for parties over 6 people even though there were 5 of us. They charge 3% for using a card. Taking a star off for that alone - I don’t want to be punished for using a card in this age. Please, just roll the costs into the meal prices. Food was fantastic. We tried the tuna melt and Wagyu burger. The burger was fresh and so flavorful. Not a frozen patty. My husband and I are local and enjoyed a nice lunch with a great view of the harbor and beautiful Santa Barbara mountains. It took a while to be seated, get our table cleaned and pay our bill they seemed a bit understaffed for the size of the lunch crowd on a gorgeous sunny January afternoon. One of the servers was wearing casual clothing and could’ve been a bit more professionally dressed as a server. But the food came out fast and tasted amazing and the view was perfect and was a great price value. I highly recommend trying Gracie‘s if you are visiting Santa Barbara and want to be near the waterfront and boat activities. Very large outdoor patio with lots of great seating. It would be a great location for celebrating a special occasion or birthday. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
