This is my 4th visit to Grandad's Kitchen. Let me say something about the environment. This team have thought very carefully about the decore: Simple and with a designer elegance. Clean to a fault and the guys are all smiles and good service. All that would be largely irrelevant if it weren't also true that the meals are i suppose the best old school home cooking you will taste now that grandma has passed, so to speak. I've just eaten a brisket meal with creamy mash and 3 different vegetables but i usually have their chilli. Meat so rich and tender. Can't recommend it enough. Brought a mate with last week who said it was the best meal all year. We're in June. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Superb lunch 1 beef brisket and 1 pork cider just about to dig into my school cake and custard . Will most Definately be back . Forgot to mention the nicest mushroom soup . Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Really nice breakfast here, served by a really chatty friendly guy. No cooking smells in the cafe either, so came out smelling fresh. I will be back to try the slow cooked meats. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
