We tried to eat at Granite Grille FX for late lunch today. Parking is aplenty. Décor is modern. We saw quite a few tables dining when we arrived. Seating was good (waited a few minutes). Since, we were a bit pressed for time; we wanted to eat and go. So, when the PERSON arrived with menus, we gave our drink orders and told the person we knew what we wanted to order. Then, we then told her that we had a Restaurant.com certificate to use and we thought she seemed fine. Afterwards, everything went sour from there. She gave us our teas and left; even though we told her we knew what we wanted. Apparently, the PERSON is the hostess, bartender, server and bus girl when we visited. We waited 15 minutes later and still a no-show at the table. During our wait 3 locals (drunks) went straight to bar and had gotten served 2 rounds of drinks by her and began to chit chatted with them without any though of us. We didn't see any other employees during our visit. So, we waited another 10 minutes and still no-show. In the meantime, the curtains at our table fell on us AND still no-show. We were close to the bar and not a response from anyone EXCEPT for the table of people near us. BTW, that table waited for their bill to be closed as well. So far, PATHETIC. After the teas were gone a needed a refill we got up and left. Since we were pressed for time; it was our only decision. SO, overall the experience is NEGATIVE. The place was not busy at 2ish, we though it would be awesome lunch. What we got was a big fat 0. Places like this place that gets mediocre reviews and is on discount sites should AUTOMATICALLY make diners think that is NOT A GOOD SIGN. If I could give negative stars THIS PLACE deserves it. STAY AWAY at all cost. VERY disappointing. Also, Mr. Louis Joseph (GM), check Yelp once in awhile for reviews. Because I agree with all of the low stars written for Granite Grill FX has received. For all that matters, check all review sites.
