Both Kankakee Railroad Museum and Grapes & Hops are recommended for visiting. That's a nice idea to order nicely cooked sausages and tasty pizza. I drive 45 minutes to get to Grapes & Hops & it has yet to disappoint me! I've always only had the wine slushees and they've been amazing! I love that they switch up the flavors to keep things from getting boring & keep people coming in. The owner always comes up & makes sure we're doing ok no matter who I'm with & he makes nice conversation, not the kind that feels forced. The urban feeling inside is nice & the outside seating are is cute! It's a nice little place to be in downtown Kankakee. Only downside to Grapes & Hops i have is that it is always freeeeeezing in there, so bring a jacket or something in case you aren't able to sit outside when it's warm out.
