Michelin selection.
Simple standard.

Our family visited this place often growing up as we are a cantonese family that absolutely loves authentic cantonese food, but this time, my experience was definitely a sign to not come back. The food quality had declined so much, the service was horrendous, and there was some unnecessary confusion over pricing. We ordered half a soy sauce chicken to stay in and eat (which costs $17.50) and requested it be put in a to-go box so it’ll be easier for us to pack up when we can’t finish it, but then the manager (short hair) came over and told us to stop eating otherwise he'll charge us $20 instead. We felt this was an unfair change of price because the actual price was listed clearly on the menu. For those unfamiliar with ordering BBQ items. Stay in and eat pricing is different from take out pricing. In this case, we clearly stated that we are paying for the stay in and eat pricing. The waiter also had clearly explained that take out is $15 and staying in to eat is $17.50. So where did the price of $20 come from??? You cannot change the price of the dish after we start eating it. We were left very disappointed and annoyed with how the staff handled the situation. Understandably, misunderstandings can happen and I understand if you did not want your other customers thinking we were getting a discount of a sort. But the condescending tones and rudeness was unwarranted. Especially with the inconsistency in pricing. Pictures taken to show the price listed on the menu as well as our bill that we paid. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to take a picture of the pricing on the wall for the BBQ item but it listed that take out was $15. When you visit, please double check the cost of the dishes you are ordering. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I love Great NY Noodletown so much. It's my mom and I's favorite spot for many years now. You cannot beat the soup with noodles and wontons and the chicken with scallion sauce. Service is efficient, ambiance is classic Chinatown. Cannot recommend enough! Go here for the classics.
