This restaurant has been the best Chinese restaurant in Urbana for years. The hot and sour soup was a dish I compared all other restaurant soups to. After the 3rd bad experience in a row, I have to wonder what has happened at the restaurant. The soup reminded me of reheated left overs. It was luke warm with big globs of undisolved soup stock sticking to everything. The noodles were stale and chewy. The egg rolls were so saturated with oil, they could not be eaten. The shrimp fried rice looked presentable but the dish had no flavor. The veggies were limp and bland. Nothing had flavor. Since the Covid lock down, I understand what a challenge it is to run a business. But, I now have a new rule. After three bad experiences at a restaurant I will no longer give it my money. More importantly, I will warn people of the poor quality like I am doing here.

The Great Wall has excellent food, from the first time I ate here I've never had Chinese food anywhere else. If you haven't tried it you definitely need to . Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: General TSO's Chicken

The best Chinese food around! Great service and the food is delicious. We haven't been disappointed with any dish we have ordered! Our favorite is Shrimp in Garlic Sauce. Their bar-b-que pork strips are killer!
