At Humber Fish Co in Hull, seafood lovers will find a haven of delectable dishes. The establishment boasts a warm and inviting ambiance, with sea shanty decor that tastefully hides a menu of marvellous variety. The interior design is charming and reminiscent of a seaside eatery, complete with pictures of fish, boats, and sea memorabilia. Prices are reasonable for seafood, and the location is ideal for a lovely meal with loved ones.
The menu features a wide range of seafood options, including prawns, crab, lobster, halibut, and mussels. The deep-fried monkfish is a stunning dish, while the seafood Diabolo is alarmingly fiery but incredible. Those looking for something less adventurous can choose from a great looking fillet steak or an absolutely terrific fish and chips. Haddock from the fryer with a portion of chips is also on offer, although one reviewer found the batter to taste burnt.
The bar offers a great selection of drinks, including a fav wine of theirs, Petit Chablis. They also have a variety of soft drinks and cocktails. A platter of Maldon and Lindisfarne oysters is a must-try starter, and the fish stew is exceptionally tasty with lots of seafood in it.
The staff are attentive and friendly, making for a great dining experience. The restaurant has outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying the lovely location. Live music is also on offer, although one reviewer found it a tad too loud.
Overall, Humber Fish Co is an excellent fine dining spot for seafood lovers, with outstanding food, great service, and lovely surroundings.
Had processco ordered and waiting but had to wait 15 minutes on arrival to get it opened, had to ask to order food after 20 mins, never was asked how our food was, had to ask to order more drinks, again had to ask to see dessert menu.
General lack of customer service considering our bill was £190 for 3 people it's a real shame as the food standards are lovely as always but the service can really impact a meal.
