We visited The Greets Inn for a last-minute family dinner after hearing consistently good things, so it’s disappointing to say our experience didn’t live up to expectations. The slow-cooked lasagna I ordered arrived surprisingly quickly, which unfortunately showed — it was cold on the outside, scalding hot in the middle, and lacking in flavour. The lasagne was £19.50!! My partner’s fish was also overly oily, which made it difficult to enjoy. The only positive was the bar staff, who were friendly and welcoming. However, they seemed unsure when asked about which dishes were homemade, which is something that could be improved. Overall, a disappointing visit given the reputation. Hopefully just an off day, but not the experience we were expecting.
