We need to say a really big thank you to Shelly at the Wrexham Hope street branch. We went in today for late evening (6pm on 16th Jan) treats and she was amazing. Not only did she serve us with a smile on her face but she also made my 8 year old daughter’s entire year. Our daughter had recently been diagnosed with irlens syndrome and has to wear coloured lenses in her glasses. Previously she had green/blue lenses and was picked on in school resulting in her not wearing them and feeling very conscious. She then switched to purple lenses this Monday and was worried about being bullied again and was very conscious and nervous about going out with them on. Without even knowing the above (or knowing us at all), Shelly instantly commented on how amazing my daughter glasses are and how pretty she is. She said she really liked the purple colour. She made my daughter feel happy in her glasses and feel amazing. I sent my daughter out the shop so that I could personally thank Shelly as prior to coming into the store, I have had a conversation with my daughter about how she feels embarrassed to wear her glasses and said she looks ugly. In this day and age, bullying can have a damaging and perminant effect on young children and we were worried how this would affect our daughter. When I returned to my daughter she openly said how great Shelly made her feel and that Shelly was a lovely, kind and amazing person. She has made our daughter want to wear her glasses and given her the confidence in herself. Please pass our thanks on the Shelly. She is not only a credit to Greggs but she is an amazing person and deserves to know. Also, the sausage rolls and donuts were tasty as usual :) Meal type: Other Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
