We ordered two salads. While the fried chicken salad is great, the grilled black cod salad is a bit disappointing. The grilled black cod is cold, nor freshly cooked. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40

The Grégoire Restaurant is one of the special problems Berkeley residents have been lucky enough to face for quite some time now. Sometime back in 2011 I finally stopped in, ordered for a few of us some combination of Potato Puffs and sandwiches that included the Fried Buttermilk Chicken, and it was shortly after that moment the problem became clear: Grégoire is absurdly delicious comfort food done with style and a unique fusion like I've never quite experienced anywhere else. When you have the time, order, post up at one of the benches on the street, and savor the hedonistic pleasure. Potato. Freaking. Puffs.
