very nice place with bar and table seating, famous historic landmark, classy all the way, a bit on the expensive side. Continuing locally, I ate lunch at The Grill at Harryman House on Wednesday. Given the great weather, I uncharacteristically sat outside. The tables outside were spaced out properly for COVID-19 and employees had masks on. I was brought over my own carafe of ice water which I always think is a great touch--I drink lots of water. After perusing the lunch menu, I settled on the Executive Lunch. This gives you a choice of either a pick two OR pick three option for varying prices...with sets of soups, salads, and sandwiches to order from. My server mentioned the specials to me as well and was great in providing answers to my questions. I ordered the pick two with the beet salad (arugula, quinoa, chèvre goat cheese, and lemon basil vinaigrette) with the chicken salad sandwich sans bread served open faced. The chef put everything together on the same plate and I loved that presentation! Everything was tasty, but light--perfect for a warm day. The chicken salad wasn't drowned in Mayo and the salad dressing when drizzled on offered a great taste that helped mellow out the strong arugula flavor. My server came back to check and see how everything was which always scores points with me. Overall, I was well taken care of in a great outdoor setting. Very pleased with my visit to The Grill! Rating of 4 stars here and will have to try out some cocktails next time! The executive lunch is a great value that won't break the wallet! Come visit Harryman House and help support local!
