Not so welcoming by the barman ? Put on a tiny table in a room that had chips and food squished into the carpet . Then had to sit whilst chemical spray being sprayed from a great height to clean all the tables ? There were plenty of tables in other rooms ? Food was only OK . Had 1 prawn in the fish pie , burger was just Ok too . No one asked us if food was ok . Then when asked at the Bar if everything was ok , I said NO only 1 prawn in my fish Pie , to absolutely No response!!!!! Won’t be going back , been going there since I was a child . Very Sad

Pretty pub, loved the tree in one of the rooms. Food was ok. We had the steak pie but it was quite dry and the crust was really tough. We waited a long time even though it didn’t seem particularly busy. Staff were ok, I wouldn’t say they were overly interested just getting on with their jobs.

Called in for an evening meal and it was an entirely satisfactory chain-pub affair. I had the steak and ale pie which was really meaty and my wife had the sea bass which she enjoyed. Food was reasonably priced although the wine seemed pricey at around £10 a glass for the good stuff (it was good!). Service was friendly and efficient and it has great views from the conservatory area at the back. Worth a visit.
