Great service. Quesadilla was a bit bland as were the refried beans. The special chimichanga was very good. The server was very efficient and pleasant. Chips n salsa were a nice touch. Patio area is nice with the lights but tables need adjusting. Will return though to give em a second chance. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

I understand it was Cinco de Mayo, but we arrived before the real rush started. The restaurant only had about four tables seated when we decided to dine in, though you could tell they were staying steadily busy. I’ve eaten here before, and in the past the food was decent and the service was good, which is why we came back. A young man greeted us fairly quickly, brought chips and salsa, took our drink order, and later brought our drinks. I will say, I would not recommend the house margarita. After we gave him our food order, we never saw him again. About 40 minutes later, a very nice young lady came over and asked if we had ordered. We let her know we had—about 40 minutes earlier. By that point, no one had offered to refill our drinks or bring another basket of chips. Of course, by then the restaurant had gotten much busier, and it took another 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The food came out one plate at a time, there was no real table setup, and again, no one checked back on us. To be fair, the food was hot and it was good. But on a day like Cinco de Mayo, they should have been fully prepared and brought their A-game. Days like this are when restaurants have the best opportunity to earn repeat customers, and unfortunately, the service experience just didn’t match the quality of the food. I recently visited this Guatamex restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow, and staff were largely unresponsive throughout our visit. We waited far longer than expected for basic things like being greeted, placing our order, and receiving our food. While the food itself may have had potential, the lack of attentiveness and urgency from the staff made the overall experience frustrating and not worth the time. There seemed to be little awareness or concern for customer wait times. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but this felt more like poor management than a one-off issue. I wouldn’t return based on this experience and would recommend others be prepared for significant delays if they choose to dine here. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
