Ordered yesterday. All my food was raw. I ordered fried okra, hush puppies and beignets. The okra was raw, breading half cooked, the dough inside the beignets and hush puppies were still wet. So disappointed and disgusted.

synopsis: mediocre (at best) and over-priced This "bistro" also seems to suffer from an identity crisis. They keep changing the name of the place (like that's why business isn't popular). Also, their own website states how it's French-Vietnamese fusion, but also French-Creole (because French). I wish they would pay more attention to the quality and consistency of their food and service, as they do to their website. I liked this place better when it was the original Bol (the new location has bad service, but that's for another review). Save your time and money and find better quality and better value elsewhere

We tried this spot for the potential for good southern food. The beignets were good, as was the fried okra. But, the gumbo left something to be desired. The seafood gumbo had very few pieces of fish and the andouille sausage gumbo was served without any andouille sausage at all! In addition, Gumbo Cafe's card reader wasn't working so we had to walk to their sister restaurant down the block to pay for our meal. Overall, we were disappointed and will not be returning.
