I saw a post this week about Vejigantes Restaurant Vejigantes DTW in Worcester & took it as a sign I needed to visit The menu has so many great options it was tough to choose. We started with a mojito flight & the La Concha, both great choices to kick things off. I ended up ordering the mofongo with chicharrones & their amazing garlic sauce, where all the flavors came together perfectly. I also had to try the arroz con gandules & the maduros because passing those up just wasn’t happening. My friend opted for the burger & was equally impressed. I came for the first time with my best friend and we had Natalia (bartender) taking care of us sadly. She is very slow and I had to get her attention even though my friend and I were the only ones at the bar. She forgot my avocado and then tried to give it to me when I was leaving. Like why would I want to take it now? Also since most of my food was coming home with me I asked for some mayo ketchup to go and then I noticed she was charging me for it. I proceeded to tell her that I can make it myself and I didn’t want it anymore. She then tells me it’s too late I already put it in the system. Like what kind of customer service is this? When I get my check Natalia had the nerve to include 18% gratuity. Very disappointing! You can take ya lil 18% because I’m never coming back! Price per person: $50–60

Too expensive for the portion given. I ordered pinchos de cerdo which were more fat than meat, I literally threw them out after not getting one full bite of meat. The meat tasted unseasoned more fat than anything. Pasteles, were about 4 inches not normal sized so I was disappointed even the taste was off it tastes like it sat in water with bay leaves. I also bought the alitas de la Calle which were okay. I didn’t taste anything special. The rice was great. For a first time order I was truly disappointed. With the price levels I was expecting normal sizes and more flavor. I guess this location needs a bit more love to be put into their food. I might try this place one more time and edit my review in hope it was simply a bad day at this location. But if not, I will write an honest review once more. I ordered this food through Uber Eats. Which I use as an option as I eat later on in the day from working a third shift so yes. The disappointment was real. Letting down the Puerto Ricans. Food: 2 Price per person: $50–60
