Changing it up, and venturing into DC, we decided to try Gypsy Kitchen—new for me. Overall, Gypsy Kitchen was good. We ordered drinks and a couple small plates. The hummus with pita and the shrimp fritters did not disappoint. The seasonal sangria was a great drink to start with. However, we ended the night with an espresso martini—learning that they make it with vodka, espresso flavored vodka, and simple syrup. The flavor of using the espresso vodka vs actual coffee/espresso wasn’t what we were expecting. I don’t know if it’s the “vibe”, but service was a little slow. I felt like we waited for the bartender to come back around to check on us. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Gypsy Kitchen DC is a culinary gem that will leave you craving for more! This restaurant is a vibrant celebration of global flavors, with a menu that's as eclectic as it is delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, simple for a cozy dinner. The decor is a beautiful blend of colors and textures, with touches of red that really make the space pop. The food is absolutely phenomenal. From the bold spices to the lovingly prepared dishes, every bite is a journey for your taste buds. Check the dishes we ordered. Service-wise, Annie, our waitress was super friendly and attentive, making sure that all dishes are served promptly, making our dining experience nothing short of wonderful. Remember, it is a privy resturant may easily run into >$60 pp without drinks. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section
