This place is getting worse with every visit. For context, we spent over USD 500 on dinner for my parents’ birthday. What we received in return was not “fine dining,” but embarrassing, disrespectful service. BEWARE. When we ordered a bottle of wine, a staff member—who appeared to be a waiter—openly commented on and judged the price of the wine in front of everyone at the table. Doing this to guests who are celebrating a family birthday, after spending this kind of money, is beyond unprofessional. It was arrogant, intrusive, and humiliating. The cake policy is just as absurd. Outside cakes are not allowed to be eaten—only candles may be lit. However, the restaurant does not offer whole cakes unless ordered 2–3 days in advance. And here’s the real joke: this restaurant is located inside the Hyundai Department Store Culture Center building, yet even cakes purchased from Hyundai Department Store itself are prohibited. Petty, illogical, and aggressively anti-customer. For a place that charges premium prices, the service is cheap, condescending, and amateurish. There was zero sense of hospitality, flexibility, or respect—especially shocking given this was a birthday dinner for elderly parents. If you expect dignity, professionalism, or basic courtesy for your money, look elsewhere. Plenty of restaurants serve pasta. Very few manage to make a $500+ celebration feel like a mistake.
