Fantastic, juicy hake in crispy beer batter with hand cut chips and a delicate coleslaw that's our Friday lunch delight. For a change we sometimes take fresh mussels from the West Coast, Saldanha, yummy! The service is always very attentive and the atmosphere relaxed with well chosen music, Hame, what else! I took my mother to try their legendary croissant and we were warmly welcomed by the owner to shelter by the fire on a wet, windy day. The coffee, croissant and atmosphere were so lovely that we stayed for breakfast and did not regret ordering the BEST rosti with Eggs Benedict and smoked trout. Perfectly balanced flavours with hints of caper and diced tomato to freshen the dish..7/5 stars compared to the same dish I tried recently at The Station, and at The Marine. Truly the best breakfast I've ever eaten. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: R 200–250 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We attended a delightful whiskey tasting with Amelia. She is so passionate and knowledgeable that we were glued to her every word. Our specific tasting was an SMWS (Scottish Malt Whiskey Society) range. Delicious! It's definitely a must do when you're in or around Hermanus. It was a fantastic experience.
