If you do come, don’t use the app on the table. It doesn’t work. I was genuinely excited to come back to Happy Crab because the first time I came, the food was incredible. I’ve literally been craving it. Unfortunately, this visit was such a disappointing experience that I won’t be returning. I made a reservation 12 hours in advance, showed up on time, and still had to wait while two other parties were helped before me. When I was finally seated, I was placed at a tucked-away table behind the bar with no view—definitely not what I expected with a reservation. Service only got worse from there. After sitting for 30 minutes without seeing a waiter, I ordered through the app. Another 30 minutes passed before anyone checked in. When a waiter finally came by, he seemed confused that my food hadn’t arrived. Then another staff member came, asked what I ordered, disappeared, came back again 15 minutes later to ask the same question, and only then did my food arrive. Except it was wrong. The noodles—the main reason I came—were missing. It didn’t stop there. I had also ordered a strawberry dessert that never came. No one checked in, no one followed up. When the bill arrived, the dessert was still on it. I had to point it out myself just to get it removed. At no point did anyone take accountability in a meaningful way. No apology that matched the situation, no effort to make it right, not even a partial comp after a clearly mishandled experience from start to finish. This was over an hour and a half of waiting, confusion, and poor service. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially because I had planned to bring family here when they visit. That’s no longer happening. The food may have been good once, but the service this time was unacceptable. Basic hospitality and accountability were completely missing.
