The food is great, and the staff is very welcoming. I can definitely recommend this place. It’s one of the few restaurants that genuinely makes you feel like you’re in Japan. That said, my overall rating is 4 stars rather than 5. I think the table time limit is disappointing, and I didn’t appreciate being reminded by a staff member that I had to leave at a specific time. In my experience, a true izakaya allows guests to eat, drink, and enjoy themselves without feeling rushed. Despite that, the quality of the food and the atmosphere make it a place worth visiting. First 5 star of the year and truly deserved. Staff are very friendly and helpful, service was excellent and very attentive. Ambiance was great, we were on the counter so recommend that if you are 2. Food was fantastic, I haven’t had such good Japanese for the quantity and price in a long time. We ordered all the stars of the show. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. Wow ! We were searching for a Japanese restaurant that offers more than just sushi. A place where you can truly explore and experience the broader Japanese cuisine. The recommendation we got was Himi in Soho and it absolutely delivered. We left genuinely impressed. Despite the very narrow space, they’ve created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Japanese staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added a lot to the overall experience. We were seated on bar stools overlooking the charming streets of Soho. Instead of ordering ourselves, we asked the staff to surprise us, and wow, what a decision. A series of small, fresh dishes kept arriving, each offering its own unique flavors and textures. It turned into a fantastic culinary journey. This place is a true hidden gem with an authentic taste of Japan. A big compliment to the team who made our experience so memorable. Not fine dining, but something better; a genuine, vibrant, and highly enjoyable Japanese dining experience. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
