Order good yorkshire pudding, ice cream and chocolate mousse. When visiting this bar, it's a must to try delicious prosecco, coffee martini or beer. HIX Soho did a lot of things right, but too many things wrong on my wife's and my recent visit. Our server had such a limited grasp of English that it was impossible for her to understand our questions, or to answer them accurately. At a restaurant like this, I expect the servers to be very knowledgeable about menu items, but our server struggled even to take the order. And then, the fish and chips that my wife ordered... The fish was good, but frozen chips?!?! In a place like this? When it's listed as HIX Fish and Chips, one would expect the whole dish to be pretty special. This was not. I had the other cod dish, and it was excellent. So, in summary, the food was mostly good, but the chips were a real disappointment, and the service, while cordial enough, was far from gracious.
