Superb food: absolutely of Michelin standard - the best meal we have had in some years. Everything in the 4-course menu was exquisitely prepared and presented, and so imaginative. They catered very well for an allergy, substituting an equally beautiful alternative dish. The wine list is also excellent, and the setting and outlook on the Erasmus bridge are stunning. The waiters are knowledgeable. The FOH staff are not quite so professional as the chef and sommelier, perhaps (not the most welcoming at first). But a very memorable evening: highly recommended. Restaurant HMB in Rotterdam is definitely recommended for a culinary evening out. The five-course chef's menu with matching wines is a true taste sensation. But it's not just the food and drinks that make this restaurant special, the beautiful view of the Erasmus Bridge is also breathtaking, especially in the evening when the bridge is beautifully illuminated. The dishes served by the HMB kitchen staff are truly delicious. Each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. The chef knows how to surprise time and time again with creative combinations and special ingredients. It is clear that cooking here is done with passion and love for the profession. What makes the dinner at HMB complete is the excellent service led by Maitre Hans. He makes you feel welcome immediately and is always ready, the lady, whose name escapes me, advises you on choosing the right wine for each dish. Maitre Hans' knowledge and enthusiasm are infectious and contribute to an unforgettable evening. All in all, an evening at HMB restaurant is a true culinary experience. The beautiful view, delicious dishes and excellent service make this restaurant an absolute must.
