Where has this okonomiyaki been all my life? The “pancake” is thin like a French crepe. The mountain of fresh cabbage and bean sprouts followed. The oysters were so good. The shrimp and squid was fresh and the chewy soba noodle was al dente. I guess I’ve been ordering okonomiyaki from the wrong restaurant, zip code, state or maybe country? The kind couple running the shop said they had been there for 9 years at that location and 20 years at another previous. They worked silently and cooperatively to make our lunch. It was fun to have a front row seat in an open kitchen. I hope we can visit again on a future visit to Hiroshima. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
