You can come to this cafe after visiting Somerville Auditorium. Being at Hackett Cafe, taste good sandwiches. Trying perfectly cooked waffles is what many visitors recommend. You will enjoy delicious iced coffee or great latte at this place.
The intimate atmosphere of this spot allows guests to relax after a hard working day. It's always a pleasure to rest and have a meal here because of the fast service. Google users assigned the score of 4.3 to this cafe.

I just came in to have a coffee and asked for some water. One of the staff members told me they didn’t feel comfortable serving me water, which I found very disappointing and unprofessional. It was only 2:00 pm, and the café doesn’t close until 3:00 pm. I really don’t understand this kind of service. I expected much better customer service, and unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. Service: 1

I spend a lot of time at uni and this is probably my cafe of choice. The food and coffee is about average, and of course a bit cheaper than ordinary cafe food if you have a guild card. Cooked bain marie curries and pasta of a reasonable standard make a cheap, healthy lunch doable for some students (still others will eat a tub of coleslaw and a loaf of white bread for $3.50 from a local supermarket for breakfast lunch and dinner, but hey, that's life under late capitalism and nothing to do with this cafe, whose prices are OK for Perth). A big, airy space, a bit quieter than the other UWA cafes if you insist on studying in a cafe. Strangely, even quieter than the library now they've taken two floors of books away and likely burned them in a nude neo-liberal ceremony under the full moon. Also, I made that last bit up, but it's the best explanation I can come up with for why they'd empty a library of books and make it into a noisy Ikea design looking mess. Anyway, Hackett Cafe also has an interesting selection of books in a big set of shelves on one wall if you're bored, likely as many books as the current version of the library (OK, I'll stop now). Not terrible, not great. I like old buildings and this is in one.
