Wife N and I are out here for our 25th anniversary, enjoying the Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla resort.  Hadar World Quisine is one of the 13 restaurants on the Paradisus properties, is open in the mornings, and offers a breakfast/brunch buffet.   We pretty much played the field, sampling a few bites of about 20 different selections, ranging from meats to cheeses, eggs and fruit, prepared foods, and made-to-order omelettes. Now, that said, we arrived around 10:00am, which I suspect is when they start bringing out the leftovers and stop replacing items that are dying.  So take this review with a grain of salt--we may have been sampling the dregs and the meal may have been much higher quality at 8:00am. Among the charcuterie and various meats, I LOVED the smoked salmon lox.  Look, I live in the Pacific Northwest---we have salmon growing on trees here so to speak--it's everywhere and it's high quality and I'm not impressed easily as a result.  I was not expecting the gulf coast to present lox of this caliber---my first thought was "this is really freshly imported from Norway".  I kept going back for more, along with these awesome tiny caviar-sized capers.  It was the highlight of my morning; everything else was about average for a buffet.   I tried a variety of cheeses which were all just fine (tough to mess up swiss cheese), and I hit the pre-made tacos and tamales.  Both were perfectly tasty, though I suspect they would have been better a half hour earlier.  The fruit was average for a buffet. Wife N had a made-to-order omelette, and her comments were "it's better than many chain hotels' made-to-order omelettes, but not quite up to the level of ordering one at a nice restaurant."  In all, she was quite happy with hers as she felt it was way better than most average buffets. She ordered a Bellini which took a bit, but that's because we suspect they were hand-juicing the peaches.  It was wonderful, and worth the wait. Overall, this is a "decent" buffet.  And, given that it's included with the Royal Service, it was free.  Can't really complain about free/pre-paid food.  It was just fine, and I wasn't hungry until well into the afternoon.
