Haj Sattar, situated on Bahar e Shiraz Street in Tehran, is a dining spot that primarily caters to barbecue enthusiasts. Not extensively listed in popular restaurant directories beyond a minimal presence on Google, this restaurant remains something of a hidden gem for those in the know. Offering a menu of flavorful halal dishes, Haj Sattar prides itself on its reliable and delicious offerings, particularly the kebabs that seem to create an impression reminiscent of Tabriz with the tasty combination of traditional Iranian rice and butter.
However, it's important to adjust expectations when it comes to service, which past visitors have described as less than welcoming. The dining area is reportedly not the tidiest, and the interaction with staff might not always meet hospitality standards, potentially detracting from the culinary experience. Accessibility features, such as a wheelchair accessible parking lot, are absent, but customers planning a visit can make prior reservations, an option perhaps best for their limited service during lunch.
For those in search of solo dining or catering for larger groups, Haj Sattar might pique your interest, though feedback on the overall cleanliness and friendliness of the environment suggests potential areas for improvement. While dining options are available for both lunch and dinner, do note the distinct lack of the owner's recent engagement or updates on their offerings or service practices. Payment options such as credit and debit cards are accepted, offering some convenience amid the unpredictability of the service atmosphere.
