Unfortunately, my experience at Halal on Fire was very disappointing. I ordered the shawarma sandwich, and it was clear that the meat (whether chicken or lamb) was not freshly cut from a shawarma spit as expected. The sandwich lacked the basic ingredients that make a good shawarma—there were no pickles, no seasoned vegetables, and no garlic sauce. Instead, it came with a generic white sauce and bland, tasteless vegetables. To make matters worse, the sandwich was wrapped in what appeared to be a tortilla. I've eaten shawarma all over the country, and I've never been served one on a tortilla. A good shawarma is typically served in warm pita bread, saj bread, or some type of fresh naan-style flatbread that adds texture and flavor. Using a tortilla made it feel more like a budget wrap than an authentic shawarma. For the price they charge, the food was simply not worth it. The flavor was lacking, the ingredients felt uninspired, and the entire meal was underwhelming. The only positive aspect of my visit was that the staff was courteous and friendly. Overall, overpriced, inauthentic, and a waste of money. I won't be returning. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I stumbled upon this place after getting out of Kia and I am so glad we went to give it a try. The food was delicious. We ordered the lamb shawarma plate and the turkish chicken, a recommendation by the server. It was both truly delicious. The meat was tender and that sauce was divine. They were so kind to add a complimentary pakora which was delicious and there was chai on the house too. The portion size was also quite a lot. There was no way I could finish mine so I know what my lunch was going to be the next day. :) Meal type: Dinner
