Visited Halo Restaurant recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. The ambiance was honestly the highlight of the place — very cool atmosphere, beautiful Filipino-inspired art, and overall great Filipino vibes that made the restaurant feel warm and unique. However, the food was inconsistent. The rice tasted like leftover rice that was reheated with water. It was cold, and the texture and grains were not good. The calamares was also underwhelming and not giving the quality we expected. As for the bulalo, some of the meat was tender, but some pieces were very tough and chewy like rubber. The place has a lot of potential because the ambiance is really nice, but hopefully they can improve the consistency and quality of the food. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
