After visiting Toomer's Corner, you may have a meal at this steakhouse. Cooks at Hamilton's do their best to provide visitors with tasty fried prawns, smoked tuna and crab cakes. You can order nicely cooked cheesecakes, biscuits and crème brûlée. This place has good martinis, wine or draft beer among its drinks. Here you can drink good juice.

I had quite possibly my worst dining experience at a respected restaraunt the other night at Hamilton's on Magnolia. Do not get me wrong, the food was fantastic and my server, Olivia, though inatentive, was very sweet. I ordered the 8 oz filet which came with a mushroom and onion ragout with a side of whipped yukon gold potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, the ragout was a great addition, and the mashed potatoes were a perfect side. About fifteen minutes into eating, I was startled by the noise of a vacuum cleaner. Servers were literally vacuuming the restaurant while another table and I were trying to eat our meals in peace. I did not see my server for the entire time the vacuum was running (about 10 minutes) and when I finally talked to a manager (I was told she was a manager but she was obviosuly another server at the table beside me), the vacuuming had ended. Despite having a delicious meal, I will never eat here again and will never recommend it to my many friends who frequent the Auburn area. With tax and tip, I spent well over $60 in the restaurant, and the least I could ask is a quiet place to eat.
