Everyone who knows me knows that this is my "happy" place! I've been a loyal regular since they first opened. I keep coming back because the food is so fresh and the staff is so friendly. In addition to making their own sauces and cooking my scramble EXACTLY the way I love it, they go above and beyond to ensure I'm okay. Steph has become like family and even surprised me with a birthday cake last year and gifts for my kids this year. Also, running into Chef Justin is always a treat because I know something new and delicious is coming. I'm honored to have my little polaroid on their wall with other fans and former staff...and I'm grateful to have a peaceful third space that feels so much like home. Thanks, H+H! Raven and her team have created an excellent environment. Just know that you will be treated with the upmost of kindness when you visit. Everything that they serve is high quality and they will not skimp out on you unlike other build-a-bowl style restaurants. Hospitality really makes the business, and happy+hale has an abundance. Update 08/05/2025: Spoke with their VP, Jordan, who was incredibly kind and concerned about my experience at this location. I want to reiterate that I LOVE Happy + Hale as a brand, and was always going to continue to patronize their other three locations, but after our conversation I feel confident that there will be quick action to correct the concerning behaviors, which I stated in my initial review. I will return at some point after a few weeks/months have passed to give this location another fair shot. Please patronize their locations, as the food (and customer service) really is 100/10. The staff are inconsistent in portion sizes and attitude. This is the third time in the past 2 weeks I’ve been to the Six Forks location and they’re constantly out of basmati rice as a base. This has never been an issue at the NH location, but for some reason this location runs outs multiple times a week. The worst part is they’re quite rude and condescending about how they inform their customers. At this point, just make the drive to the NH location 10 mins down the road. Better service by IONS.
