Great location. Friendly staff. Clean. Menu is straight out boring and never changes. That is the really disappointing thing as everything that is served we can do better from home. One morning, mid winter, had poached eggs which came in 3 minutes so they were re-heated which is just not on. Our coffee was only warm and the plates must have been stored in the freezer! Really! How easy is it to have warm plates? Coffee OK but sometimes just warm and take away awful recycled caps which take away the coffee experience. WE have given up with this lot.

Lovely outdoor setting area with option of picnic rugs on the grass. Toys, wooden ride on pikes and riding toy cars available in the outdoor area. Suitable for toddler and probably preschoolers.

After a bit of a rainy, cold wet week, it was great to finally get a lovely day to visit a cafe. Happy River Cafe is a great place to visit with toddlers. I was there with my sister and her twins. Green lawn and picnic mats to sit on and set up on. Lots of toys for toddlers to play with.

Great friendly and accommodating service, very decent coffee. Poached eggs were spot on and came with the right amount of toast to accompany. Nice tunes in the background.

Definitely will return.
