The area around is sketchy, but hidden within is this gem of a Chinese restaurant that’s perfect for to go as well for a quick lunch. I recently tried Happy Wok on a whim from my usual spots within the local area for lunch and glad I did as it’s become my recurring visit nowadays. The black pepper steak has always been good and served warm and steaming. Texture is great in my eyes for the beef when paired with the rice though those that prefer less of the gummy sauce feeling like soy sauce may not like it as much. Bell peppers with the onions are a nice combo when cooked properly (and these are as I don’t taste the acidity of either vegetable and get a nice crunch each bite). Service is akin to a fast food restaurant and not so much dine-in so perfect for anyone on the go like I mentioned. Seating is plenty for a small dining area (especially at the periods I go, it’s usually not busy). All in all, I recommend checking out Happy Wok if you are within the area! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
