The Hapsburg Empire has reopened under new ownership and has been renamed Neds. My first impressions are that it has been refurbished with a fresh, clean look. It's the first day so the staff are getting used to their new café and while it must be rather stressful for them they are very warm and friendly. So far I've only had a coffee but I'll try their food at a later date. I was hoping they would retain the old seating with lots of cushions but they haven't. They wouldn't fit in with the new look anyway but the seating is very comfortable so no complaints. There is still the large window at the front that opens up in warm days which gives it an added appeal. Outside there are tables where people can enjoy their food and drink. Altogether I think Ned's has a lot going for it and I think it will be very successful. I look forward to being a regular here

This was rather lovely little cafe, though I have to admit that I visited in the age of CoVid-19, which meant that things weren't really the same as it would normally be. Still, I did manage to get a coffee here, which was pretty cool. The staff were lovely, and quite helpful as well, and there was seating available, though with social distancing and all that it meant that I ended up outside. Still, I got to check it out, and have a coffee as well, and yeah, the coffee was pretty good too.

Worst Shakshuka ever. Measly tomato sauce was watery. No onion. Paid 16.50 for two eggs with a bit of watery sauce and a small slice of toast. I asked for a serve of bacon which I paid extra for. I got one slice of bacon. Over rated cafe. Needs to send chef back to cooking school ot he may be under instruction from owners to to stingy with portion. Either way I won't be going back for sure.
