Harbin Chinese Restaurant 哈尔滨老道外砂锅居 is an amazing Chinese restaurant in Ottawa. The food is incredibly authentic and delicious. It offers a wide variety of dishes from Northern Chinese cuisine, Sichuan Cuisine, Side Dishes, and Cold Dishes. Their Mao Xue Wang (毛血旺), Sichuan Mala Chicken Cartilage (辣子鸡软骨), Szechuan Cabbage and Fish (酸菜鱼), Stir-Fried Chinese Cabbage and Wood Ear with Black Vinegar, and many more dishes are particularly noteworthy. The portions are large and the prices are more economical compared to similar quality restaurants. The service is fast and attentive and the atmosphere is pleasant. They also offer takeout and delivery services. All in all, Harbin Chinese Restaurant is a great place for an authentic Chinese dining experience.
Today I visited this restaurant and I really liked it. I would love to go back there. I'll start by saying that it is located near the high-tech park, which allows you to have a quick lunch with colleagues or guests during a business meeting. There is a wide selection of traditional dishes to suit every taste (for spicy food lovers, there are notes in the menu indicating the spiciness level of the dish). I really like the menu in Chinese restaurants that is in pictures. This allows you to see the dish immediately and simplifies the choice, as you don't have to read the ingredients. Instead of imagining how the dish will look, you can just look at the picture and discuss your order in detail with the waiter. Our order was prepared quickly. The food was delicious. The prices are reasonable. Overall, I liked it and I will definitely stop by again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Authentic cuisine..You'll not find 'americanized' same old, here! Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$90–100 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
It's getting worse and worse. The casserole is very salty, and the braised pork ribs with potatoes and beans are really unpalatable. I put the three things in the pot and stir-fried them until they were thick enough. Price per person: CA$30–40 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
