I gave an extra star cause the service was so good. The chap was on his own and did a great job really smiley despite working in a chip shop on sunny afternoon - But the fish (cod) was tasteless. You are just paying for the brand and the location. Go somewhere else there are plenty of choices just a bit further down the road - for £22 (fish chips mushy peas and a can) or you could eat fish and chips in one of the really nice restaurants Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Wow, what an amazing experience, the food was really nice, and the mushy peas delicious, fish well cook, I asked Ronnie the manager to help me choose the fish, and I chose the one he recommended, and it was delicious too. Very clean toilets and too the restaurant was very clean. Lovely that I was able to see the sea when I was having my lunch, and they didn't charge me extra for that. : ) Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Harry Ramsden's always get some stick from some quarters but I find it has great fish and chips, warm service and it's clean. What more do you need? I had had the hake and chips and J had the cod and chips. There may be better in Brighton but this seafront place is just excellent.
