After seeing Nelson Provincial Museum, it may be a good idea to visit this bar. The recipe for success of Hawker House is its nicely cooked chicken dumplings, salmon gravlax and beef cheeks. In accordance with the guests' opinions, waiters serve good wine, draft beer or craft beer. Enjoy great coffee.

Might just be me but the light was dimmed pretty low, making it slightly difficult for us to read the menu and for our kid to navigate well. Staff were very attentive, checked up on us regularly and gave us a corner table with lots of space for us - thanks for that! Food was a 4/5 for me, wasn’t the best Asian fusion and wasn’t told that the “pot stickers” were just dumplings. The chicken liver parfait was pretty good, just needed more bread. Also shared the ice berg lettuce which was good portioned, the pork belly and the fried chicken. A bit overpriced for some of the portions. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NZ$40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
