I absolutely LOVE Harvest Beat! It is perfect for a special occasion or a fancy night out! Prior to COVID when dining in was an option, they would create an incredible 5-course dining experience with farm to table, locally harvested ingredients all vegan! During COVID, they have had to revamp things with a 5-course takeout dinner, and a lunch/market option that's a little more affordable. They are one of the only high-end all vegan restaurants that offers this kind of experience in the Seattle area. I always recommend this restaurant to non vegan friends so they can understand what GOOD vegan food should taste like and it never disappoints! They rotate their menu every several weeks with new offerings based on season availability. Looking forward to dining in when safe to do so!
*NOTE: This a review for their lunch takeout* It's been a while since I've been to Harvest Beat to dine-in, so when I finally checked in on them to see what they've been up to, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they're doing takeout during lunch! I was able to go on a Sunday afternoon and ordered their savory mung bean crepe and got a cup of their black pepper potato chowder from their fridge. It took about 15 minutes but it was sooo worth it. The mung bean crepe is inexplicably delicious, and all the more so with the tomato sauce it's paired with. The potato chowder is also tasty once heated up for 2 minutes or so in the microwave. I hope to go back sometime soon! The only unfortunate part is that lunch goes from 1 to 3 pm - on most days I've already eaten lunch by 1 pm.
We had the 5-course takeout tasting menu last night, and it was easily the best takeaway meal we’ve had since the beginning of Covid (and my meat-eating partner agrees). There was smoked delicata squash inside a chowder that we could not wrap our heads around, it was so tasty and surprising. Clearly so much care was put into the menu to make sure that later courses would be delicious at room temperature, each course was something that would keep well in a box and not steam itself into a weird texture... and they’ve even figured out how to add pairings. We tried both the wine pairings and the nonalcoholic pairings and both were delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough, and we’ll be back again soon! Thanks Harvest Beat!
