Got a chance to finally visit harvest Beat and it was well worth the visit. You can only reserve online as they charge a thirty five dollar no show fee per person, if you decide to make a reservation and bail on them. Also be prepared to spend 90 minutes or so as you enjoy your multi course meal.I’ve been to similar restaurants where the food was veggie, but this is a vegan restaurant. While no dish tasted bad, nothing really stood out in my humble opinion, hence the four stars. Their spinach dish, which was made Indian style (palak), was drab, dry and imminently forgettable. I know how hard it is to make ice cream without milk, but somehow the dessert wasn’t all that great.Service is friendly and the restaurant itself is warm and cozy. I’m not about the parking, but one can assume that you have to pay for it. Go there only if you’re a committed vegan and want to try something new.
We've lived in seattle for over a decade and never been here until last night! Im glad we picked it for our anniversary. This was one Michelin star worthy food, unbelievable that it was all vegan. The chefs speech is unique unlike anything we've seen in Michelin restaurants. The genuineness with which they spoke about the farmers, the produce, the community was so PNW and the authenticity heartwarming. They change the menu every 3 weeks such means you'll never see the same dish again. I think it's incredibly hard to not serve dishes that are popular, and to continue to experiment and be creative is risky, kudos for that. Now for the food, its 5 course vegan meal for $67 right now , wine/nonalcoholic pairings offered for additional 20+. Our courses - salad, soup, cashew paneer and kale, wild mushroom buttermilk(non dairy) fried eith mashed potatoes, apple cake with nut cream, and whole cinnamon dressing. Each dish was unique, flavorful, plated beautifully, textures were perfect no room for improvement. The service was good - nothing noteworthy favorably or unfavorably. The only hang up I have about this place is that the ambience and the decor of the restaurant is extremely restaurant-next-door, nothing out of the ordinary, but I think that's by design. They want it to feel like dining at home, not a fancy upscale restaurant(though I'm sure theres a large appetite for these in seattle). Overall if you want special, made just for you vegan food with great flavors and farm to table produce, you absolutely cannot go wrong!
Fantastic 100% vegan spot, serving dinner  the old fashioned way. Fixed menu, 5 courses, one seating nightly, and everything is fantastic. For food lovers of all types, not just vegans.
