Do not get the giant cinnamon roll. That thing was nasty and whoever came up with the recipe should be fired. I’ve had many cinnamon rolls in life but none remotely close to how gross that one is. The rest of the plates we got were ok. Nothing great. I struggle to understand the popularity of this place. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Breakfast

Sorry to hear the cinnamon roll wasn’t for you! We make ours with sourdough, so it’s definitely a little different from a traditional cinnamon roll. They’ve become one of our most popular items and we sell out of them almost daily, but we totally understand they won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Hash is clearly a popular local brunch spot in Olympia, but for us, the food was a bit hit or miss. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, Portuguese sausage scramble, and corned beef hash. The corned beef hash was easily the best thing we ordered—flavorful and satisfying. The Portuguese sausage scramble was okay, but didn’t really stand out. The biscuits and gravy were probably my least favorite; the gravy was noticeably sweeter than I expected and just didn’t work for my palate. We had a considerable wait even on a weekday, which definitely shows how popular this place is with locals. Once seated, though, service was quick and efficient. The atmosphere is a pretty standard brunch setup with both indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, some dishes were a hit while others missed the mark. Nothing we tried was bad, but nothing really wowed us either. If you’re curious, I’d say give it a try—but go for the corned beef hash! Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Brunch
