We were staying next door at the Ritz and decided to try this hidden gem — and what an unforgettable experience it was. This is as authentic as it gets. There’s just one man in the back doing everything himself, and while the food takes a little time, it’s more than worth the wait. Every dish was incredible and felt truly genuine. When we arrived, he seemed surprised to see Americans dining here — it’s clearly a local spot that doesn’t get many tourists. That made the experience even more special. We chose the Omakase option and let him serve us whatever he felt was best. Though he seemed a little nervous at first to create freely for Americans, we assured him to go for it — and it was absolutely the right decision. Every bite was thoughtful, delicious, and unforgettable. If you want a truly authentic dining experience, this is the place.
