A wonderful hidden gem. This tiny, one-of-a-kind place serves a beautiful kaiseki bento lunch (¥3300, cash only), and every dish felt like a small work of art. They don’t seem to take reservations, but we were able to walk in easily. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. It’s no surprise that this place received a Michelin star in 2016 — the quality truly shines. A memorable and special experience. My son and I had lunch at Hashino restaurant, it was our first time trying tempura in Japan, we cannot explain how delicious and welcoming the staff is.
