Traditional tea house serving classic Japanese sweets and tea. I had the oshiruko, which was warm, sweet, and really comforting, and the owner speaks great English and is very welcoming.

After eating yesterday's dessert mihashi, I came to Ningyocho today to eat at this old shop that has been in business for nearly two hundred years. Hatsune is a confectionary shop founded in 1837 in Tenpo. The name "Hatsune" is derived from the "Hatsune no Drum" that appeared in Kabuki "Yoshitsune Senbon Sakura". The signature dessert "Red Bean Honey" insists on using Japanese ingredients, such as adzuki beans from Hokkaido, brown sugar from Okinawa Islands, and amaranth made from Izu Islands. (from google) The taste is similar, the price is slightly higher than mihashi, (I can accept two hundred years more) the content and color matching are also similar, there are no tourists in the store, and the old people chat quietly. Note that there are no pictures in this store, all are in Japanese, you have to read what you want to order at the door before entering, otherwise it will be a Japanese level test!
