Not only should Chanoki Shrine be visited, but also Hatsune. The cooks here prepare tasty red soup, red bean soup and bean rice. You can order good vanilla ice cream and perfectly cooked rice cakes. Take your chance to taste great matcha, japanese tea or iced green tea.
The gracious staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. The spectacular service displays a high level of quality at this cafe. When you enter this place, you notice the peaceful atmosphere. Google users awarded Hatsune 4.2.

Fantastic find, traditional Japanese sweets at its best. Highly recommend if you are in Ningyo-Cho.

Traditional tea house serving classic Japanese sweets and tea. I had the oshiruko, which was warm, sweet, and really comforting, and the owner speaks great English and is very welcoming.

After eating yesterday's dessert mihashi, I came to Ningyocho today to eat at this old shop that has been in business for nearly two hundred years. Hatsune is a confectionary shop founded in 1837 in Tenpo. The name "Hatsune" is derived from the "Hatsune no Drum" that appeared in Kabuki "Yoshitsune Senbon Sakura". The signature dessert "Red Bean Honey" insists on using Japanese ingredients, such as adzuki beans from Hokkaido, brown sugar from Okinawa Islands, and amaranth made from Izu Islands. (from google) The taste is similar, the price is slightly higher than mihashi, (I can accept two hundred years more) the content and color matching are also similar, there are no tourists in the store, and the old people chat quietly. Note that there are no pictures in this store, all are in Japanese, you have to read what you want to order at the door before entering, otherwise it will be a Japanese level test! For the convenience of ordering, I took pictures of the meals outside the door. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
