I don’t know why they wouldn’t just go to a QR code ordering system. The server was like a snow leopard; at one point we didn’t see him for over a half hour. I understand a bar still having servers is quaint but I would have spent more money if I’d been able to order Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Beers and chill? Definitely. Staff? Friendly. Food? Definitely not the place. Went in for a quick bite. Was craving a hamburger. They send out the burger with load box bread, like, what? This was not mentioned on the listing menu. Flavor- none. The only flavor came from the bacon. Had some waffle sweet potato fries- asked well done- came out burnt. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

Haymaker is one of those bars and grills that just gets everything right and has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Austin. The food is seriously good for a bar, with a menu that goes well beyond the usual pub fare and delivers on flavor every single time. The late night kitchen is a game changer and it is such a relief to find a place that serves quality food when most other spots have already closed. The drinks selection is generous and well priced, and the bar staff are fast, friendly, and know how to keep the good times going. The interior has a warm and lively atmosphere that works perfectly whether you are dropping in for a casual bite or staying out for the whole evening. Haymaker is absolutely worth a visit and I keep bringing friends here knowing they will love it just as much as I do. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
