After my post below, I was contacted by the owner Joshua that lead to a phone call. After sharing what happened, he apologized and sincerely invited us back for a round on him. Today, he followed through and made the exact 4 dishes we ordered that day. I'm here to tell you, it was fantastic, and nothing like the first visit. Employees were friendly, business was still packed yet the orders were being turned around quicker. The Hella Hot is by far their best flavor. The breasts were cooked to juicy inside and crispy outside perfection. The tenders were exactly that. Tender and juicy with a crispy outside. OK, so the new Helen's is in the Boro. Great right? Nope. My son and I ate lunch there on Saturday, March 4 at around noon. Ordered 2 breast quarters. One hot and one mild. After waiting 42 minutes, we get our chicken. Problem, although the chicken itself was good, they were both plain fried chicken with little or no seasoning. We let them know and no effort was made to make the order correct. Then, I asked what the quickest chicken to make was. She said tenders. I ordered one order hot and the other Hella hot. She said it would take 15 mins. 40 minutes later they called our number. Well, the chicken was hot and Hella hot. The problem, the chicken itself was room temperature. Are you f'ing kidding me!!!! And absolutely zero effort made to make it right.
Gonna write you all off and keep going to Nashville. Give me some proper chicken and at least make things right. 2 screw ups, same family, same day and nothing from you. Whatever!
