Fun dinner out with friends. Good food but servings were very very small. The tapas came too spread out which didn’t help. Barramundi main didn’t bring any a side. We spent almost $80pp but I wasn’t satisfied. Atmosphere was the highlight of the night though, with a saxophone show live on Friday night! The food at Heno & Rey was really impressive, but unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We opted for the banquet, and while every dish we had was delicious—the chicken was perfect, the chorizos were incredible, and even the fish (which wasn’t part of the Madrid banquet) was spot on—the long gaps between courses were frustrating. We found ourselves repeatedly asking staff to bring out the next dish, which really interrupted the flow of the meal. The staff also struggled with English, which made communication tricky and was a bit of a turn-off for me personally. On the bright side, the vibe of the place is really cool, the sangria was fantastic, and the chat potatoes were a highlight—we’ll definitely be coming back for those! A small disappointment was that they didn’t have sardines and replaced them with anchovies, which wasn’t quite the same. Overall, if you’re after great food and a fun atmosphere, it’s worth a visit, but just be prepared for slower service. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $80–100 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

I would say that the customer service here was nonexistent! Couldn’t get a single staff members attention even tho they were not overly busy with many free tables. Food was nice but overpriced for what it is and how ridiculously long you have to wait for it. Would not eat here again, the untrained staff are letting this place down.
