You can visit Restaurant Het Witte Paard during the Christmas holidays. Because it was a Christmas dinner, it had to be chosen and communicated in advance, and the menu that was sent was not exactly drawn up error-free. Stupid spelling mistakes could have been avoided if a little more attention had been paid to them. The appearance, both inside and outside, suggests that this is a high-quality restaurant, which is also reflected in the prices. Once at the table it was actually quite disappointing, a salmon bonbon where the filling was such that it completely destroyed the salmon (too sour) a ribeye where there was too much tendon so you actually needed a small chainsaw to cut it. Only the dessert was still tasty. The most scandalous thing was that the bill contained drinks from another table (unfortunately we only found out at home because we assumed it would be correct) and that this was only refunded to the bill in the new year without any apologies. With such mistakes you should at least communicate with the customer that this should never have happened. Communication cannot really be called an asset at this company. Price-quality ratio is really a thing here, especially when I look at a day later where we had a much better and tastier meal in another restaurant for more than half the price. It shows that the appearance of a restaurant in no way reflects the quality of a menu. This was the first but also last experience with Het Witte Paard. Service: 2

After good experiences in the past, we had dinner again tonight at 'Het Witte Paard'. Unfortunately tonight didn't live up to expectations. -Service was somewhat curt. -the appetizer (which was good) was already served while we were just having tea. -had to ask for drinks with our main course. Were then poured 2 different glasses of wine without any consultation or chance to taste (This is it). -main dish; ingredients (read vegetables) were from another main course. -When asked if 'it tasted good', we indicated that it was very on the salty side. In response, we were asked whether we used salt in our food. the other excuse was that this might be the last bit in the pot. No feedback 'how annoying, I will pass it on to the chef... In other words, it was not their fault, but 'Us'. All in all, apart from the quality of the starter and dessert, a disappointing evening of dining out. This was mainly due to good quality service. It's a shame to have to write such a review. Since the appearance of the building creates a different expectation. Service: 1 Location: 4
