We had an amazing experience there! My husband and I tried the turkey sandwich and the roast beef sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful, cozy, and welcoming. Elham was very friendly and gave us great recommendations. The strawberry and pomegranate matcha drink was unique and incredibly tasty. We also loved the saffron latte and the saffron pastry with cream — such special and unforgettable flavors. Rasoul, the manager of Heval, was also incredibly kind and welcoming. At the end of our visit, he even gave us a cookie as a gift, which made the experience even more special. We’re already looking forward to going back in two weeks to try their ice cream! Highly recommended. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Yes

A new Persian café in Chinatown that’s definitely worth checking out. The space is stylish and cozy. The sandwiches are a must-try here. Their signature bread, called Focabery is a mix of focaccia and traditional Iranian barbari bread made in-house was incredibly fresh, fluffy, and delicious. We tried a few sandwiches: First Light, Silk Road, and Golden Hour. All of them were packed with flavor, generously portioned, and filled with lots of meat. I also wanted to try the Asal sandwich, but unfortunately it wasn’t available that day. Definitely coming back soon for that one. Just checked out the newly opened Heval Cafe on Spadina in Toronto’s Chinatown and it’s such a refreshing concept. Their blend of Persian flavours with classic espresso and matcha drinks feels unique and thoughtfully done, adding something new to the neighbourhood’s already diverse food scene. The Persian-inspired sandwiches are a standout. We had their Silk Road and Ti Jon sandwiches and really enjoyed them! Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
