Hey Mama in Mirissa is a lovely spot with a fantastic location — it’s tucked away just enough to feel like a hidden gem, yet still really easy to reach. The atmosphere is gorgeous, full of flowers and lovely views of the plants around the building, which makes it such a nice place to sit and relax. The food was tasty, though I’d say there was a bit too much decoration on every plate — a little more food and a little less garnish would’ve been nice. The prices are on the higher side, but that’s mostly because the menu leans very European. The one thing I wasn’t a fan of was the service; the waiters weren’t the friendliest. Still, with the beautiful setting and good food, it’s worth a visit if you’re in Mirissa. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: Rs 9,000–10,000 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

A very nice place with floor seating. The view from the first floor overlooking the greenery and the subtle background music create a great atmosphere for breakfast. The coffee is very good, the food even better. The smoothie bowl is excellent! Lots of fruit and granola. The egg hoppers with dal and avocado mash were delicious. Hey Mama is without a doubt one of the best places we have eaten at in the whole of Sri Lanka! We came back 4 times in the space of 3 days! The breakfast options are so so tasty and such a refreshing way to start your mornings in Mirissa. The smoothie bowls are gorgeous and so fresh- the best smoothie bowl I have ever had! All the food is beautifully presented and all the staff and owners are so friendly and welcoming! The Sri Lankan food is packed with flavour and the Sri Lankan Curry is a must! Hey Mama has a really relaxing and chill atmosphere with a lovely interior. We would highly recommend Hey Mama! Thank you! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
